iDress for Weather App Reviews

Great app!

ADD friendly app that helps me know what to wear. I check it daily.

iDress

I love this app. Give it 4.5 stars. I would like to see the following modifications. First have an only boy or girl setting. My 11 year old son wont be wearing a dress. Second I would like an option to see a visual temp on a thermometer. This would help many kids understand the reverse relationship between weather and clothing. When the temperature goes down you wear more clothing.... I realize that not everyone would want those two ideas, so I recommend adding them to the settings. Thanks, Clinical social worker & Mom to 11 son with autism

Great but...

Wish it would show tomorrows forecast tonight. Can u do this?

On the fence

When it was rainy it said sunny. My autistic students love this app I just wish it said the correct weather. Also if could say the date in the upper hand corner that would b great

Have never worked for me

Ive never been able to use it. I paid for it. Ive installed and uninstalled it and it turns itself off whenever I tap on the icon.

Love this app! My autistic son checks it each day to tell me todays high and low temp! He likes to wear everything they show him!

SCI teacher

Love this app. I use it with my son with autism and with my special education students.

I dress not working

this app only works part of the time. it says find location or use current location. When I put in my zip code it doesnt help. My daughter has down syndrome and she needs help knowing what to wear. The weather still comes up but you cant open the closet. Also it would be nice to have girl clothes too. It is fun to see it snowing on the screen.

A Simple and Hollow App

Other than giving you the local temp. and humidity, you get nothing more than six static closet photos, each showing a few temp-appropriate clothing items. Thats it folks! Practically a scam. Not even worth a free download.

Good Idea, But Needs Improvement

If you change temp settings, they do not stay. Pictures do not always stay with temps they are supposed to. Needs separate picture for snow, like it has for rain.

Boring

I thought this was a game where the student could pick the appropriate clothing for the temperature outside. It is not a game. The app simply shows the current temperature and what clothes you should be wearing.

Background picture bug

I am an autism teacher and I have been using this application during circle time every morning with my students. I love the closet and the animation when there is precipitation in the weather. However, the background is not for the season. While Kansas has had a warm winter, the trees do not have leaves on them and the grass is not green. The background picture looks like spring, not winter. There should be a background for winter when there is not snow on the ground! It is very confusing for my students!

Needs work

My kids enjoy it but seems very basic. Could be so much better.

Cute!

This app is so cute and a good thing to know what to wear according to the weather but scenery should reflect the seasons . Spring and Summer should have more flowers and fluttering butterflies .

Nice daily update

Love the dress suggest!

Love it

I wont get dresses with out it! It helps me pick out the best outfit for my day.

Good app for kids

Kids love it. Just wish it had more clothes options in the closet to help kids decide. Or a way to explain its 50 degrees right now but will be 76 later.

It would be a great app if you would show the weather for the week! Just missing something, very plain, not interesting at all!

iDress -does not match up!

I really like the concept of this and could utilize it with neurotypical children and kids on the spectrum. However, this app has not worked since I have had it. The temperature displayed is correct but it does not correspond to the clothing in the closet.. (75 degrees & closet consists of sweaters and long sleeve shirts).

Love iDress!

What a fantastic app for everyone! I use it everyday. Also, perfect for student with disabilities-great way to support independence!
